Students Serving Their Community

Mission & Outreach

FAith in Action

FAith – in – Action” verb /faTH/ /in/ /ˈakSH(ə)n/

FAA students daily serving their community by intentionally choosing to follow God. Reaching out to others is a way of life at Frederick Adventist Academy. Through regular outreach activities, FAA students connect with the local and world-wide communities through school projects, crafts, and field trips.

Outreach Scholarships and Grants

FAA families have the opportunity to augment their students’ FAith in Action outside school hours by taking part in several scholarships. These include Partnering for Eternity, where students regularly visit an elderly neighbor in the community; and Food For Life, a donation of bread for purchase that can be resold to compensate for a portion of FAA tuition.

Partnering for Eternity

Frederick Adventist Academy, in partnership with Southern Adventist University’s Partnering For Eternity (PFE) grant program, has the opportunity to offer unique tuition assistance to our students. Through this service-oriented scholarship program, our participating students are paired with elderly adults in our community in a mutually-beneficial way. Students in the PFE program, along with their parents, bring joy to the lives of senior citizens through fun activities such as visiting, reading, and playing games. When appropriate, they may also provide light housework. As the young people build generational bridges and learn the value of service, they also benefit from the wisdom and mentorship of the older adults. In the process, their time together helps finance the student’s Christian education.
