On Thursday, the 3rd and 4th graders went to outdoor school at Mt. Aetna Camp. This is the second year that the students have attended the program, and it was a wonderful learning experience for everyone. After a short devotional by Mr. Joel, the students headed off to their classes for the day which included a scavenger hunt, nature crafts, and a nature walk around the camp. The students learned about life in a pond and a meadow, and were able to look for the different plants and animals that live there. During this year’s nature craft, the students painted rocks to look like cacti, penguins, and even ladybugs. Throughout the day, the students were constantly reminded of God’s miraculous handiwork, and saw that we can learn so much about Him through nature. Students and chaperones truly enjoyed their time at Mt. Aetna this year, and are looking forward to visiting again soon!
